Words by Clara Fable:

If there is one thing I could talk all day about, it's this topic. Film has always been my number one inspiration for my brand, my acts, my aesthetic - somehow I'm always drawn to the macabre over anything else!

Nosferatu (1922)

A classic German silent film with my favourite fantasy theme, The original Vampyr. A known storyline, just like Bram Stokers: Dracula - but instead, this eerie classic builds tension with "claustrophobic vignettes" - no words needed.

Malignant (2021)

It's no secret that James Wan is one of my favourite horror Directors of all time. Embracing all that is gore and body horror. Obviously this newer film is in my top 5 for its sci-fi/crime and SFX camp goodness.

American Mary (2012)

Continuing with the theme of body horror, a CLASSIC revenge story with a female lead. Could it get any better? If you hate the doctors' offices or hospitals, you might want to skip this one!

The Autopsy of Jane Doe (2016)

Creepy paranormal goodness! This has always been a favourite of mine when showing people movies I love! A family owned morgue, a horrific storm and an unidentified dead body...need I say more?

Creep (2014)

This list wouldn't be complete without a found footage classic. Creep is all the best parts of a documentary style film with the added bonus of unsettling characters and a few perfectly timed jump scares. Bonus, this movie was based on real Craigslist experiences, eeep!
